We started after the Colors Rally the end of Oct. 2009 taking out the old cabinets in the kitchen so we could fix the floor.
This is Bruce Baker helping us.
Next we worked on the kitchen floor. I loved the wood floors & I did not want to cover them up. We had holes under the sink big enough for rabbits to get in. Greg said for our safety we needed to fix them.
See the new floor going down.
This is the new Livingroom Floor. We have had to play musical furnture as we do each room.
New School Room Floor
We were trying to think of what we could use as molding, everything is so uneven. Bruce came up with a great idea to use rope. We had rope, it was cheap, & we thought it went with our country look.
New Office Floor
Then we started Greg & I (Cyndi's) bedroom. We have never done much to our room like; painting & floor. We did a total make over to our room. This is our old bed my half was a water bed & Greg's was normal. This is a way to make a marriage bed, ha! ha!
We painted the room.
Ed Rivers Blessed us his painting skills. He painted our bedroom, livingroom, & kitchen.
Greg put shelves in the old window.
We had carpet, took it up & installed a new floor.
Greg refinished the sheleves & added more shelves.
These are new kitchen cabinets coming in.
Ed painted the walls.
This is after Greg put new lights up in the kitchen.
The family helped staining the new kitchen cabinets.
This was a lot of work & helped Greg work on his patience. We are staining the house cabinets now.
We keep moving our kitchen stuff. We've had it in the shop, dining room, movie room, freezer room, & the livingroom. This Poiema cooking in the kitchen.
This is the tiling we did in the kitchen. We had a Great Team!
These are photos of the inside of our cabinets. I do not do this to show off what we have. It is to show you the dividers & the lazy susans. They are so wonderful! It helps me keep order. We still have trouble getting the silverware in the right spot. That is why I had to put cards in the drawers.
Dad (Greg) is making a clock for us. Isn't it Beautiful! Great job Daddy!
Photos of our finished kitchen. Thank you Lord & everyone for helping & praying!
This is some close up photos of some of our new decorations. I decorated with hearts & Crosses to surround us with GOD's AWESOME LOVE FOR US!
This the cabinet door knobs & I used the hearts all over the place.
The decorations are Christian measuring spoons & measuring cups.
The digital Photo Frames are on the bottom shelf. The photo above & this one are taken in the living room.
A side note about me. The first thing I started collecting after I became a Christian in 1983 was cookie cutters. I received my first one when I lived in the Shepherd House (a half way house) in a donation bag. I have added new & old cookies cutters over the years. We use them for cooking (cookies, cakes, & breads) & many different crafts over the years. They have given us many special memories!
I believe the Holy Spirit gave me an idea for a game for our kitchen tables. I put my mini cookies cutters in bins on the tables with a square. The big & the little kids play ...Tic, Tac, Toe at the table when we have family meetings or meal time. It helps them to be able to move their hands.
One other thing I collect is old canning jars. I started after we moved into this house in 1988. When I started gardening & yard saling for canning jars. I'm not sure when that was now. I had kept them behind all my photos before. I put them so you can see them now in one spot. I have more jars behind these.
Thank you for caring!
